It was a pretty chilly morning and a littler blustery when Andie and Tony held their wedding and reception at the Silver Swan Bayside waterfront venue in Stevensville Maryland on December 3rd 2016. The ceremony was under a tent adjacent to the building where breakfast was held. The dancing was also under the tent area. After the ceremony and cocktail the bridal party was introduced and breakfast was served. After the meal, toast and cake cutting, the bride and groom danced their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Haley Reinhart and with their parents to “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. We also did an Anniversary dance where the grandparents of the bride had been married 53 years. Everyone danced and had a great time. There was a snowflake sendoff after the event.
They are now honeymooning in Italy
Congratulations to Andie and Tony

Brian and Christina held their wedding and reception at the Elkridge Furnace Inn in Elkridge Maryland on November 12th 2016. This was my second wedding here this weekend and it is a great place for a wedding. After the ceremony they were introduced and did their first dance to “Anywhere With You” by Jake Owen. Christina then danced with her dad to “My Girl” by the Temptations and Brian with his mom to “You’ll Be in My Heart” by Phil Collins. This was a great party group and everyone sang and danced all night. They even did an apron dance with Polkas. I had done the best man’s wedding and the groom’s sisters wedding and I love doing events for their families. The groom and his friends went to West Virginia so of course we did “Take Me Home Country Roads” by John Denver.
They are going on a cruise for their honeymoon
Congratulations Christina and Brian

DJ Dave was amazing, from the time we booked him until our wedding (and beyond). He is very responsive, and when we met with him prior to the wedding, he had all the music we had requested ready to go. In fact, when we were meeting with him, another couple came over to tell us that Dave had been their DJ 11 years prior, and they raved about him. At our wedding, he not only had the perfect music for cocktail hour and dinner, he also got our party started when people were ready to dance. Our wedding had a lot of people who did not want to leave the dance floor, so DJ Dave kept the party going. As we have seen friends after our wedding, so many have raved about how much fun they had, and how great the DJ was. As the bride, the whole day is a blur, but Dave sent me a video afterwards, that showed all our friends and family having a blast, and a packed dance floor.
We also were about to book our videographer with Dave, and had a great experience with him as well.

I had the privilege of working with Dave, the owner of Event Entertainment. While planning our wedding, I quickly realized that vendors really lack communication. I can say that Dave was the ONLY vendor that was very communicative. He would respond to my emails right away, and answer all of my questions (another thing I realized, some vendors wouldn’t answer all questions). Our makeup artist/friend recommended Event Entertainment and I am so happy that she did. We wanted a fun wedding, and we got that with Dave. Everyone was dancing right from the start and that was important to me. Dave was very professional and even had his wife at our wedding to help out. She recorded a lot of our wedding, and we received a very nice video. Dave met up with us at the venue during our tasting, so he could make sure he had the proper cord to connect to their system for the cocktail hour. A week prior to our wedding we met again, and he went over songs that we wanted, or didn’t want played. It was nice, because he even asked if I had a song from my college years that he should play. Dave was even flexible when we weren’t sure if the weather would be decent enough to have our ceremony outside. It is hard trying to decide which vendors to go with while planning a wedding, unless someone is recommended. We would highly recommend Event Entertainment and even had several people tell us how great our DJ was.

Another beautiful October day when Pia and Tom held their wedding reception at the Beaver Creek Golf and Country Club in Hagerstown Maryland on October 29th 2016. They also had us provide our photobooth for them. This was our first time at Beaver Creek Country Club and Lori and their staff were amazing. This event required some Latin music mixed in with American music. The bridal party was introduced and Pia and Tom danced their first dance to “Never Stop” by Safety Suit (Wedding version). After toast and dinner, the bride danced with her father to “De Nina a Mujer” by Julio Iglesias and the groom with him mom to “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac. We played American music mixed in with some Salsa and Reggaton. Everyone danced and had a fun time. The bride and groom left with a grand “sparkler” exit.
Congratulations to Pia and Tom

I got in contact with Dave about 8 months ago when I first started researching DJs. From the very first moment we spoke I could tell how professional and easy he would be to work with. Dave always responsed promptly and was extremely flexible during my busy schedule (being in military training during the last 4 months before the wedding). Dave knows his stuff. Since it was a half-Hispanic wedding, he provided a great mix of Latin and American music that both sides of the family enjoyed! He is also always there to help and offer suggestions but will never step on your toes. I could say millions of great things about Dave’s services, but I’ll just some it up by saying that he made my wedding day perfect. Highly recommend to anyone!

We considered Event Entertainment for our DJ services based on a friend’s recommendation. After reading several online reviews and watching videos on their website, we decided to book them for our October wedding in Taneytown, MD. We made sure to specifically request DJ Dave Holmes, and it ended up being the best decision ever. Throughout the planning process, DJ Dave was extremely professional and responsive. We especially loved Event Entertainment’s planning website, which ensured that we were all on the same page regarding song preferences, reception logistics, etc. About a month before the wedding, we met with Dave in person to finalize any last-minute details and go over things like name pronunciations. During the reception, Dave was an excellent MC…he said just enough without distracting from the main events. Once our guests made it to the dance floor after dinner, nobody left. Dave really knows how to keep the party going and feel out a crowd. Several guests told us that they were planning to take a break to get another drink or use the restroom, but as soon as one good song ended, another good song started, and they didn’t want to leave! Other guests have told us that Dave was the best DJ they’ve ever seen at a wedding. And we agree! Dave Holmes with Event Entertainment is a great DJ for a great value.
